What are your office hours?
Office hours are Monday–Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The office is closed on weekends and on designated holidays.
Do I need to prepare any documents or forms before meeting with an attorney?
No preparation is required for your initial consultation. If you already have immigration documents or case materials, you are welcome to share your screen during the meeting so the immigration attorney can review them.

Who is Kim Buhler-Thomas?
Kim Buhler-Thomas is the firm’s founder and lead attorney, with over 30 years of experience in immigration law representing both individual and corporate clients. Kim Buhler-Thomas holds a J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School and a B.A. in International Relations with an emphasis in Chinese. Kim is licensed in Utah, admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, and is a long-standing member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She has also presented on immigration topics to university international students, the Utah County Bar Association, and the Utah Board of International Education.
Does the firm participate in community or pro bono work?
The attorneys at Buhler Thomas Law are active in community service. They offer a free first-time consultation to eligible full-time university students (including those on university-approved OPT) from select colleges and universities for the student’s own immigration matter, and present multiple free seminars each year to international students about their options to work and live in the United States legally.
